Privacy Policy

Workbox is a macOS menu-bar utility built to stay out of your way, and out of your data. This policy explains what the app stores, the permissions it asks for, and how your information is handled.

What Workbox stores

Your content, the Board, snippets, clipboard history, saved images, and your settings, is stored locally on your Mac. Workbox does not upload this content to us, and we do not sell it to anyone.

Permissions

Workbox is designed to run without invasive system access. It does not request Accessibility or Screen Recording permissions. It runs as a notarized, sandboxed app.

Updates

If update checks are enabled, Workbox contacts our update service to see whether a newer version is available. That request includes only what is needed to answer it, such as the app version and your macOS version. It does not include your content.

Payments

Any purchase of premium features is processed by Apple through the App Store / StoreKit. Workbox never receives or stores your card details; Apple's terms and privacy policy apply to the transaction.

Analytics and tracking

Workbox is built to work without advertising or third-party tracking SDKs. If we ever add optional, privacy-respecting diagnostics, this page and the date above will be updated first.

Your choices

Because your data lives on your device, you stay in control of it: you can edit or delete it in the app, and removing Workbox removes its local data.
